Becoming a Timeslips Certified Facilitator
To become a Certified Facilitator, you’ll complete our self-paced online modules and live practice sessions with a TimeSlips Certified Trainer. These practice sessions offer space to explore concepts, try techniques, and build confidence in a supportive environment.
PART 1: COMPLETE ONLINE MODULES
CREATIVE COMMUNICATION
This brand-new module is designed to transform even the briefest moments of care into opportunities for connection.
Built on years of listening to our partners in the field, this training offers a fun and practical way to unlock joyful moments in care.
- Key concepts of the TimeSlips approach
- How to engage—whether you have 30 seconds or 30 minutes
- Real-world examples, from meal delivery to home care visits and more
Duration: 60 mins
CREATIVE STORYTELLING
This module walks you through our improvisational storytelling method – with individuals or groups.
You’ll learn:
- The link between person-centered care and creative engagement.
- That late life is a time for growth, meaning, purpose, and expression.
- The TimeSlips improvisational storytelling method.
- How to connect to our international TimeSlips network of facilitators
- How to use TimeSlips digital tools to support your creative engagement practice.

PART TWO: ATTEND PRACTICE SESSIONS
CREATIVE COMMUNICATION PRACTICE SESSION
Practice using and shaping Beautiful Questions. Facilitate creative conversations that spark joy and connection in any interaction.

FACILITATOR WORKSHOP
Bring TimeSlips to your team. Get certified. Start connecting!
What’s included:
- Access for up to 15 participants to our online modules.
- A 4-hour, trainer-led workshop.
- Live modeling of the method with your own clients or participants.
What you’ll gain
- Hands-on experience.
- Practical tools you can use right away.
- Confidence facilitating creative engagement in your own setting.
Cost: $2,000 + trainer travel if held in-person
TRAIN THE TRAINER
To become a Certified Facilitator, you’ll complete our self-paced online modules and live practice sessions with a TimeSlips Certified Trainer. These practice sessions offer space to explore concepts, try techniques, and build confidence in a supportive environment.
ORGANIZATIONAL TRAINERS
Build internal leadership. Sustain and scale TimeSlips across your organization.
What’s included:
- Enrollment in a Trainer Institute after at least 2 months as a Certified Facilitator.
- Two full, in-person days or four 2-hour virtual sessions.
- Preparation to train and certify facilitators within your organization.
What You’ll Gain:
- Long-term, in-house training capacity.
- Sustainable program growth.
- The ability to certify unlimited staff and volunteers internally.*
Cost:
- $2,400 (if not yet certified
- $1,900 (if already a Certified Facilitator)
*Ongoing costs include bulk access to modules for trainees and an annual Trainer Certification renewal.
INDEPENDENT TRAINERS
Lead Facilitator Workshops for TimeSlips and inspire joy and connection.
What’s Included:
- Enrollment in a Trainer Institute after at least 2 months as a Certified Facilitator.
- Two full, in-person days or four 2-hour virtual sessions.
- Preparation to train and certify facilitators within your organization.
What You’ll Gain:
- Ability to be compensated for leading Facilitator Workshops.
- Opportunity to become TimeSlips Faculty over time by supporting Trainer Institutes.
- Be a part of an amazing network!
Cost:
- $500 (if not yet certified
- Free (if already a Certified Facilitator)

CREATIVE CAMPUS
Equip students with creative communication skills that bridge generations and abilities.
What’s included:
- Access to one of our two evidence-based TimeSlips training modules.
- A 90-minute live coaching session with a Certified Trainer.
What you’ll gain
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Understanding of aging and dementia.
- Tools for creating meaningful intergenerational connections.
Cost:
- $600 for up to 50 Students / $1,000 for up to 100.
- Training seats do not expire.
FRIENDS & FAMILY
The TimeSlips Friends & Family Training is designed for anyone looking to learn new ways to connect with a loved one experiencing cognitive changes.
Created in collaboration with family caregivers, this training takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and will provide you with an introduction to TimeSlips’ creative engagement tools.
