At the heart of this new training pathway is our brand-new Creative Communication training module, designed to transform even the briefest moments of care into opportunities for connection. This training is required for those seeking certification but is also highly beneficial as a stand-alone training. You’ll see Creative Care techniques in action across a variety of settings, and leave with tools you can use to spark meaningful connections.

Your Path to Becoming a Certified Facilitator
Each course includes online modules and a practice session with a TimeSlips Certified Trainer. These Practice Sessions are invaluable, giving you the space to explore concepts, test ideas, and gain confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
Creative Caregiver Training
Certification Not Included
Anyone working with older adults. This includes clinical teams, family caregivers, nursing staff, home-care workers, volunteers, meal delivery teams, well-check callers, and friendly visitors. If you connect with older adults in any capacity, this training is meant for you and will help you deepen engagement with those you work with.
Certified Facilitator Training
Certification Included
Certification enables individuals to facilitate group TimeSlips Storytelling Sessions. It is also the first step to becoming a Trainer. This training level is perfect for activity staff, teaching artists, memory cafe leaders, volunteers/students, home-care workers, senior center staff and anyone facilitating activities with elders.
Note: If you are already a Certified Facilitator, your certification remains valid—no matter when or how you earned it.

Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Center
Brodhead, KY
Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Center is one of the 12 Signature HealthCARE nursing homes becoming a Creative Community of Care through the I Won’t Grow Up project. Artist in Residence Bob Martin is working with Quality of Life Director and staff to invite creative expression from residents, and engage families and volunteers in this inspiring project. Questions explored at Rockcastle included: “What are the sounds, feelings, tastes, games and sights of childhood? and adulthood?”
