What Is the Monkey Doing Here?
It’s a small monkey! He’s looking out at everyone else. A very happy face!
She’s called Mavis. Maybe Mavis has gone and come back again. She’s got a little monkey in there and it’s making her content, or a bit of fun.
They’re going to the pictures! We don’t know what they’re seeing. It’s really dark. We would hear Mavis and the monkey talking. Somebody has picked Mavis up! She’s picked herself up.
Behind them there are other people. Doreen was there that day. Val doesn’t think they have a family, but Margaret believes they could have.
We can’t see any food lying around for the animals. Mavis is sitting in the window and waiting for her husband. She has too many friends. They’ll be eating and drinking and dancing the Charleston!
Maria sang a song for the group. It was a song of love that her father sang for her mother.
This story was created by Val, Maria, Doreen, Bill, Giuseppe and Margaret at Mary Potter House, Calvary Hospital, on 18 August 2014.
