The Cow Jumped Over the Moon
“Oopie-i-o!” sings Harriet.
Earl says it’s him. He’s jumping over a cloud with his belly button.
He’s jumping over the horse. There’s a lot of ponies around. He’s running away because he’s afraid. He’s running from someone who’s going to hurt him.
“He ought to be running away from here,” says Bob.
He’s trying to get people to join him.
There are flowers, a guitar, a cow and a car, shoes, and a cowboy hat in the background. There’s a pumpkin in the corner and we’ve gotta eat some pumpkin pie. There’s a smile on the cowboy’s face. He’s in a place like this. Horse riding.
“I always think of beauty,” says Harriet.
He’s still trying to get people to join him.
He’s going to fall down on his crotch if he jumps over the horse.
He’s singing. He’s singing for help, “Get out of here!”
She doesn’t know how he keeps spreading his legs that far.
Harriet says, “He’s running, running, running away from something.”
He’s running from a farmer. “Hello! He’s running because he stole something,” says Ruth. He can run too!
“He’s only got 1 ½ legs!” says Harriet.
He gets away safe.
He got home to Nebraska. His family was waiting for him.
Is he hungry? “What are we eating?” If he was eating oatmeal they forgot to give him his milk. The pumpkin pie tastes good today.
Julia says, “Must be a Happy Halloween!”
