Stories from Around the World
Making a Stranger Feel Welcomed
I’m not sure I'd want to. (laughing)
Well, depends on what kind
Of stranger.
Let the stranger present himself.
Let him talk about himself.
Let him be himself.
I don’t know what else to do,
But be a friend, smile and be welcome.
Talk to him.
You could ask him some questions
So you know where he’s coming from.
That way, you could size him up a
Little bit. (laughing)
I guess that sounds kind of devious
But that might be a good idea!
Probably a very good idea.
Well, you never know
Who’s who?
Who might this Stranger Be?
Santa Claus (laughing)
Homeless, put stuff in a bag to make
Him feel welcome. I did
It a couple of times. That
Might be helpful.
Don’t interrogate. See if he wants to tell
a story about himself. Be Nice.
Where might this stranger have come from? Or She?
North Pole
A long lost friend
That’s pretty tough.
He just wants to be himself.
Be comfortable.
Just wants to be a friend.
He should tell you where
He comes from.
Leave him alone. He doesn’t
Have to say anything.
The North Pole.
Ya never know.
How would you like this stranger to feel?
Welcomed
Be there and feel like one of us
Let him ask questions.
How do you feel about strangers?
Sometimes the family has strangers.
Children leave home for awhile
And get older and come home and
They feel like strangers to you.
I don’t know who he is
I would ask him to tell me
Who he is, then I’d know
I know how to feel if
He told me where he came from
I would to make a friend of them.
From the beginning , you’re kind of scared
Of them because you don’t know
His background.
Be Nice!
