“LONELY FORGOTTEN”
"Let me out"!
"They have gone without me again"!
'Forgotten' is a three year old Shitzu Cross. He doesn't like being left at home by himself. His owners, Jill and John, have gone for a drive in the country. They didn't take Forgotten as they were going to a wedding and he was not invited.
It's a very cold Canadian day with heavy snow falling but Forgotten has had the heating left on for him to be warm all day.
He begins his day alone by taking all the cushions off the couches and proceeding to chew on one of the feather filled ones. Within five minutes he and the entire room are covered in minute duck down. He thinks he is a very smart dog.
After a while he got bored and then spotted the curtains. He thought, "I could have a good swing on those". He took a leap, grabbed onto one and away he went until he heard a big rip as suddenly fell to the floor. "I'll try the other one", he thought. Within seconds there was another five inch rip and he was on the ground again.
Feeling tired, he hopped onto a chair and had a sleep. When he woke up he needed to pee but thought it was too cold to go outside. Instead he relieved himself in front of the fire where it was warm.
Jill and John arrived home shorted after and were horrified at what they found. It turned out Forgotten was a very smart dog because he never got caught in the act. His owners realised they could not leave him alone for a whole day again.
From then on Forgotten always went with them in the car. He thought to himself, "oh well, they realised I was not a dumb creature after all, not me".
The moral of the story, 'never underestimate the intelligence of a dog'.
