Is this the Butterfly Man?
Oh my goodness! What about that? That's Mr What's-his-name that comes up with these things. I talked with him the other day about these things. It's a modern picture. You have to get crayons for it.
Mr. What's-his- name is a young policeman patrolling the beep. He's a soldier walking with a walking cane or crutch. He's even a man figure and pastor who holds up water.
Others see him as Grandpa and an elderly man outside. He's got a walking stick and he's an old man or he looks like an old man. He might not be, but he looks like an old man to me. His age is tired and nearly as old as he is. He's old- you can tell his condition because he's old. I hope you haven't caught it-old age. He's a pitiful looking old man. You can see his full spine. I wouldn't want him coming around me. I'm scared of him. He sounds like he's sick. He looks like he got a disease and the name fits him. The disease is metamorphosis.
I know I don't want to look like that. He looks bad like an old, old man. I have no earthly idea what he's doing, but he's not able to do much. He's too old and I need someone I can do things with. He can hardly walk. He can't put them (his feet) very fast. He's just making a line. Looks like he's got all the time he wants to spend. People are around him and he looks like he's being helped. He's determined to have one of the young people. I can get up and fight for him. He's holding his hand.
He walks now because he does a lot of walking. He's got something to help him with his walking. People can't do very much with people that move around a lot. He likes to show what he's been taking care of on the sidewalk. I think he's got his equipment and getting ready to leave town. He's got places to go. He's going places where I went a long time ago. See that's a hat, but he's not wearing glasses. He's got on a old pair of pants. Bless his heart, he's got on an old pair of shoes.
Look at that walking stick. It's just one thing. It's got a built-in-thing to his elbow, and he's holding on to it, too. It's a new walking stick because I've never seen one like this before. There's an arm brace to support himself. You can make a lot of round things with the cane. I don't know why the machine goes on and on and made this. It has round circles that make more butterflies.
Butterflies go through metamorphosis. I have heard of metamorphosis, but can't tell you the meaning. I knew about metamorphosis. It's an easy thing to think about. People don't warm up to it very much. It had nice birds and butterflies. This is a big, big butterfly and the wings are open. The shape on the wings looks like a fish mouth. It's doing nothing. This is a fake butterfly. I don't know how to tell but it's fake. It's a big thing. It's a sign and he's passing by it. I don't think he's walking. I think it's a background. I don't think he's strong enough to carry a butterfly that big. It looks like a butterfly and he's part of it. Is this the butterfly man?
Several Elders voluntarily gave comments after they told what they saw. They were as follows:
-I enjoyed seeing the picture. It's something different.
-Well, I don't know much.
-I'm glad to help you.
-It's a good picture. Don't think I've seen one like this. Hope I did you some good because I don't know very much about it.
-Don't know if what I thought is worth it.
-I can't figure out this picture. The picture puzzles me. I can't figure out more about it. Its not painted very well so you can see it.
-You know I have dementia. I have to think about things longer than before.
