“Finders Keepers: The Man Sings Too Loud”
They’re trying to sing a song about America: “America the Beautiful.”
The boy is named Rosie. The man is Josie. They are father and son. (How nice!) Rosie is between 8 and 15 years old. Josie also has two daughters, but they’re not here. Josie had a wife but they got divorced. Or, maybe he’s still married. He’s not a bad person! His wife could be working, or home taking care of the other children, or maybe even out dancing. (That’s a busy woman!)
Josie and Rosie are at home in their garden. They live in the United States. Looks like it could be Manhattan. There is bright sunlight shining on the flowers and it’s cool outside. There’s also the sound of buzzards.
Josie doesn’t work, because he’s lazy. He never worked; his momma has always taken care of him! Or...he isn’t lazy. He looks jolly! Perhaps he did work; he used to be a singer. But he’s now out of work, because he started singing out of tune.
Rosie is trying to sing, too. He’s happy about that. Josie has a candy bar in his hand, or an ice cream sandwich. He’s laughing with his son.
Next, Rosie might conk out. And Josie has a good job lined up so he can make a living for his family.
