Can’t Wait to be Discovered!
I see a girl and a guitar. She’s called Sheila. She’s 16 years old. She plays it well, 2 years she has been playin the guitar. She’s playin’ his guitar- her dad’s. She doesn’t play it well, she’s no entertainer, but she plays well enough. Her dad is gone or at work. He’s a bus driver. He would sit next to her if he was home. He’s gone- not there to teach her. Her dad’s name is Henry and he is 45 years old. It takes place at her mother’s home. She’s had lessons. She’s sitting in the backyard of her mom’s house. She’s singing her own songs. She is not 19! She is singing songs about herself. She is expressing herself through her music. She is at peace doing it. Whatever she is playin that’s what she is feeling- you can tell by her face. She is still thinking. She’s singing Santa Claus is coming to Town! She is at her family home in Louisana. She is tryin to play. Someone would be next to her teaching her what chords to play- what strokes. She’s singing Silent Night. She needs someone to help her. Her mom’s name is Eleanor. She is in her 40s and her Daddy is 3 years older. She has three older brothers: Larry, Lawrence, John who are 20, 22, and 25 years old. She has one younger sister named Cindy who is 11 or 12. Her songs are about her or her surroundings. She is singing from her heart. You hear the sound of music. Someone playin tunes. She’s all alone. She has aunties and uncles who will listen. They are so proud of her and are listening now. They are encouraging her, asking other people they know to come listen to her, They are intently listening to her (her family and friends), making compliments. I think if there is someone who sings well or does other things well in your family, you are proud of them and you are a part of their first audience. She’s on her own and very happy. She likes to be outside a lot. She’s playin the guitar. It’s between summer and fall, there are leaves on the ground. There are garden smells, like cut grass. It’s Autumn, no spring. Someone in the “business” is passing by and hears her. She gets discovered! She blossoms. And everyone says, “I remember that little girl.” Her star name is Diana and she sings in the church choir. The priest is going to get someone to hear her and get her in contact with whoever it takes to hear her to publish it to be made a star. She’s practicing, but she’s no star. They will take her to Hollywood. They will send someone to get her and hear her. Once she’s heard, she’s a star.
