Bedridden
There’s a kid in bed. The kid is sleeping. He may be sick. We’re all sick.
His name is Ralph, or maybe it’s Alex. He’s thinking: “Oh no, it’s that time already!” It looks like he’s daydreaming. He has the blues, or he might be shocked. He wants to go back to sleep. He looks relaxed.
He’s holding a box or a toy. He probably stole it. No, his Mom or Dad probably bought it. There’s a tugboat on his bed but he’s not interested in it. He wants a car.
His house is a Victorian two-story. It’s organized and very neat. There’s a tray by his bed, so at least he has something to eat. There are cookies, milk and pizza. This kid is pampered. He should get out of bed.
He’s thinking, “What are you looking at me for? I’m sick. I want to relax.” He wants to be left alone. He could be in a time out.
When he gets out of bed, he’s going to get up and run away. He might holler at his mom, but then apologize. He might play with his train set when he gets out of bed.
There’s a window in the room, but it’s dark in there. It’s snowing outside. When he gets well, he’ll get out of bed and ask permission to go play outside.
It’s a snow day! He was faking it.
