Baby in a Bag!
“It could be me,” says Maria. We don’t think Maria would fit in the bag! It’s a baby. It’s laughing. It’s just been played with.
I think he’s been put in the bag for a bit of fun. It’s a boy. His name is Peter Christos. He thinks too much. He’s very clever! He’s listening to a story.
His parents are nearby. He’s laughing and he’s a beautiful baby. The bag is in the house or on the verandah. It has wooden floorboards, “slats”—that’s the Australian term for floorboards.
There’s a couple of towels in the bag to hold the baby up. Nick’s mother was there and watched him all the time. There’s a bush behind him. It’s in a pot. Giuseppe thinks it’s a travel bag. It’s made of leather. There is grass and dirt out the front. A man takes this bag to work and it belongs to the baby’s dad. The dad takes this bag to work with his lunch and tools in it.
The baby is clever like Maria! The baby is thinking: “what has happened here?” He looks happy. Peter is a baby and later he becomes a solicitor when he’s 28-years-old, in Ohio.
It’s difficult to know what happens next. He’ll be taken out of the bag and he’ll be dressed with clothes and taken home. He’s a young boy. He won’t be bored. He’ll be ready to do something else.
It’s in Canada. He ran away from Canada to Ohio because it was too cold! Maria lived next door to him, that’s how we know. It’s a very nice story for the baby!
