In Partnership with the Washington County Department of Health and Human Services, TimeSlips Creative Storytelling is excited to announce a new program in Washington County, Oregon. With generous funding from Community Health Improvement Program (CHIP) funding, this project will utilize the talents of local musicians in the county trained in TimeSlips to improve access to creative engagement.
TimeSlips Creative Storytelling, a renowned nonprofit based in Milwaukee, is proud to have partnered with Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin and Metropolitan Chicago, Milwaukee County’s Meals on Wheels program facilitator, and United Community Center (UCC), in an effort to enhance existing services and reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness. As a part of this initiative, titled the “Milwaukee Beautiful Questions Project,” TimeSlips aimed to provide tools and techniques for meaningful and joyful communication to individuals who interact with older adults.
We are excited to announce the publication of “THE MEASURE OF OUR AGE: Navigating Care, Safety, Money, and Meaning Later in Life” by M.T. Connelly, esteemed board member and elder justice expert. It will be available for purchase starting July 18th, 2023.
We are excited to offer Friends & Family resources in Spanish! We will be launching our Spanish Engagement Party materials (Celebración de Conversación y Creatividad) and our translated Friends & Family training module in the summer of 2023. We are very excited to expand our reach to the Spanish-speaking community with these free resources!
We are proud to be working with 31 Dementia Care Specialists (DCS) from 29 Aging Disability Resource Centers across the state, representing four Tribal communities in an effort to provide them additional resources for the networks they serve.
